Warm holiday greetings from Victoria, where the bright lights of Christmas are everywhere! Students have been enjoying the many events around town, such as the outdoor skating rink built right in the centre of downtown! Hot chocolate was a must. The huge and varied displays of lights on Victorians’ houses are something to behold. The New Year brings new activities, festivals, and excitement. Students are looking forward to getting delicious local food at the Winters’ Famers’ Market, and sipping at the infamous Whiskey Festival!

We would like to send a big thank to our intern students, Maho and Jamie.
Both of them have finished the internship program with us. They have learned so much and did a great job!
Maho and Jamie, we wish you all the best.
Good luck and have a wonderful time in Victoria for the rest of your stay! We will miss you.
We have to say good bye to Diane who worked for GEOS for a long time. She has moved on to a wonderful job at a local university.
Good luck & Conglutinations!
December was so much fun! We started off the festive month by decorating gingerbread cookies. Students revealed their inner artist, and sweet tooth.
The next week, we expanded to suit all tastes, and had an incredible potluck party; with foods from every country, great music, and a movie on the big screen.

Next was The Festival of Trees at the famous Empress Hotel, a holiday tradition; put on to raise money for the Children’s Hospital. It was a great cause, and a student favourite.

Next month, we look forward to attending an exciting Royals’ Hockey Game, as well as admiring the fantastic winter displays at the Butchart Gardens. Perhaps we’ll take advantage of their outdoor skating rink as well!
