About Victoria

Victoria is a beautiful harbour city on Canada's west coast. Victoria is the capital city of British Columbia, and is located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. The island is about 600 km long and 200 km wide .

Victoria has less rain than either Vancouver or Seattle and more sunshine in the summer than either of those cities. Victoria has Canada's mildest climate and almost never gets snow.  

It is called the "Garden City". The Capital Regional District of Victoria has a population of about 400,000 people. Victoria is a safe, clean, and friendly medium-sized Canadian city .

The main industries here are tourism and government. It is an easy city for students to travel in. Buses are frequent and affordable .
